Gabriel Attal in the Rhône on Saturday to exchange with 150 French people

Prime Minister Gabriel Attal will travel to the Rhône on Saturday to discuss with around 150 French people, whom he wants to involve in the preparation of his general policy declaration in the same way as the “active forces” that he continues to receive in Matignon , announced his services on Friday. The Prime Minister will first attend the wishes of the mayor of the small town of Orliénas, 2,400 inhabitants, located around twenty kilometers from Lyon, before having lunch without the press with local elected officials. In the afternoon, he will speak publicly for two hours with around 150 people, residents and mayors of the department, in Saint-Laurent d’Agny.

These exchanges evoke the “great debate” led by President Emmanuel Macron after the “yellow vest” demonstrations. Their organization is led by Renaissance MP Jean-Luc Fugit.

“Feed” its general policy statement

Gabriel Attal intends to “feed” his general policy declaration, which he will deliver before Parliament on January 30, from his meetings with political forces, trade unions, employers’ organizations and associations of elected officials, as well as with the French on the ground. Upon his appointment, he had made several trips, five in five days, from Pas-de-Calais to the flood victims at the Caen market in Calvados, via a college in Yvelines. After having brought together his ministers for the first time on Thursday morning in Matignon for “collegial” work on this speech where he will present his priorities, he continued his discussions.

He has already received union leaders from the CFDT, CGT and FO, as well as representatives of employers Medef and CPME. He also saw the leaders of the Republicans on Thursday, the president of the National Rally Jordan Bardella and the president of the centrist Union in the Senate Hervé Marseille on Friday. He must still discuss with representatives of La France insoumise and the Socialist Party on Monday, environmentalists on Tuesday, the Communist Party on Thursday, and exchange with associations of elected officials. These upstream preparations aim for “immediate implementation of the projects, as soon as they are presented by the Prime Minister to Parliament”, we underline Matignon.
