An express ascent… Tuesday January 9, 2024, Gabriel Attal succeeded Élisabeth Borne and became the youngest Prime Minister of the Fifth Republic. At only 34 years old, he already has an exceptional career. An activist in the Socialist Party from 2006 to 2016, he was in fact a member of the cabinet of the Minister of Health Marisol Touraine from 2012 to 2017, before being a municipal councilor of Vanves from 2014. Since 2016, the one who recently been criticized works hand in hand with Emmanuel Macron. After joining the En Marche party, of which he was spokesperson in 2018 and member of the executive office from 2021, Gabriel Attal was Secretary of State to the Minister of National Education and Youth from 2018 to 2020 before becoming government spokesperson and secretary of state to the Prime Minister. During the second five-year term of François Hollande’s successor, he was Minister Delegate in charge of Public Accounts and Minister of National Education before becoming Prime Minister.
