Galaxy A25: Samsung Italy leaks the future entry-level smartphone

After the Samsung Galaxy A55, the Galaxy A35 and the Galaxy A15, it is the turn of the Galaxy A25 to be revealed through information leaks. This Tuesday, December 5, 2023, the media Sam Insider got their hands on marketing images from Samsung Italy concerning the future entry-level terminal.

End of suspense for the Galaxy A25

The shared visuals first show a design similar to the renderings published by WinFuture last November.

Thus, this generation would be entitled to three developments compared to the Galaxy A24: flat edges, a protuberance at the power and volume buttons as well as a textured back with small dots. We also learn that the dimensions of the Galaxy A25 would be 161 x 76.5 x 8.3 mm. It is therefore 1.1 mm shorter and wider than the current generation.

In terms of the technical sheet, the images show almost everything. The Galaxy A25 would firstly benefit from a 6.5-inch Super Amoled screen with Full HD+ definition. According to rumors, the refresh rate would be 120 Hz (compared to 90 Hz on the Galaxy A24).

For the photo part, no change a priori. Samsung would indeed opt for a configuration consisting of a 13 Mpx selfie camera and a rear module with a 50 Mpx wide-angle with optical stabilization, an 8 Mpx ultra-wide-angle and a 2 Mpx macro.

Performance would be ensured by an octa-core 5G chip engraved in 5 nm, supposedly the Exynos 1280. It would be coupled with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage (expandable via microSD up to 1 TB). Finally, a 5000 mAh battery compatible with 25 W fast charging would be included.

No launch date has yet been provided for the new Galaxy A range. The slew of information leaks nevertheless suggests an announcement in the coming months. Referring to the officialization schedule of previous generations, we can assume that it will take place in March or April.

In terms of pricing, WinFuture estimated last month that the Galaxy A25 would be priced between €269 and €299 in Europe.
