Samsung should hit the bull’s eye again with its Galaxy A53. A leak has now revealed official renderings and the data sheet of the Galaxy A53.

The Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A51, Samsung’s mid-range flagships, are among the manufacturer’s most popular models every year. Not only that: In general, the models are among the most popular mid-range smartphones. So it’s no wonder that the new model is being eagerly awaited. And Samsung is sticking to its recipe for success – as revealed by a leak that gives us both pictures and technical data of the Galaxy A53 5G.
Samsung Galaxy A52s
Simple but effective design
WinFuture got its hands on official renders of the Galaxy A53. At first glance, the mid-range smartphone from Samsung shouldn’t differ much from its predecessor. However, the manufacturer has no reason to tinker too much with its formula for success and continues to rely on a simple look in the typical Samsung design language.
The A53 gets a plastic case again. At the front, Samsung uses a punch-hole camera again and also keeps the slightly thicker display edges. The only visible change concerns the main camera: the less square camera array has been revised and makes the A53 look more modern.
Technical data: selectively improved
As for the spec sheet, the Galaxy A53 gets a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone keeps the dimensions of its predecessor and the camera setup also looks familiar: so it’s a trade again a quad camera module consisting of a 64 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra wide-angle camera and a macro camera and a depth sensor, each with 5 MP.
One of the most important changes concerns the Exynos 1200. The new mid-range SoC with a maximum clock frequency of 2.4 GHz is supported by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and at least 128 GB of internal memory. The memory can be expanded via a microSD card.
The Galaxy A53 also has a 5000 mAh battery that can be charged at 25W. The larger battery compared to the previous model gives hope for a longer runtime.
If the Koreans stick to the typical schedule, we can expect to welcome the Galaxy A53 between March and May 2022. It should also be certain that the Android 12-based One UI 4 will be used on the device.
