Galaxy S21 falling in price: Here the Samsung cell phone is the cheapest

In mid-January 2021, Samsung unveiled its new flagship, the Galaxy S21. The cell phone went on sale on January 29th. At the market launch, the recommended retail price of 849 euros for a Galaxy S21 with 128 gigabytes of memory was due. For more memory or a model from the S21 Plus or Ultra series, the price was even higher and quickly exceeded 1,000 euros.

The cell phones have been on the market for almost a year now and you can find the different versions of the Galaxy S21 much cheaper. In some cases, the prices fall by more than 100 euros compared to the recommended retail price. We’ll give you an overview of where you can currently get the best price.

The Galaxy S21 currently only costs 539 euros on eBay. Other dealers charge at least 614.99 euros. The manufacturer himself calls a price of 849 euros.

In contrast to the standard version, the Galaxy S21+ with 128 gigabytes of memory is equipped with a back made of Victus Gorilla Glass and a 6.7-inch display. In addition, the battery is more powerful with 4,800 mAh. However, the cell phone also weighs 40 grams more than the normal S21. At Galaxus you can buy the Galaxy S21+ for only 689 euros. At other retailers, the cell phone costs at least 728.97 euros. The manufacturer calls a price of 1,049 euros.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra with 128 gigabytes of memory is available from Galaxus for 1,040 euros. A proud 1,249 euros are due directly from Samsung. Other providers charge at least 1,149 euros for the cell phone. So you can save a lot.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has a few changes compared to the regular model. For example, the cell phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 888, which insiders often prefer to the Exynos 2100 of the S21. But the camera was slimmed down a bit. With Alternate, you can currently get your cell phone for 499 euros, other retailers are currently charging at least 524.32 euros. Samsung sets the recommended retail price at 749 euros.

Should you go for the Galaxy S21 or its predecessor?

You should think twice about buying the normal Galaxy S21. As we found in our quick check, this is more of a slightly tuned Galaxy S20 than a refurbished phone.

There are no really groundbreaking innovations between the successor and the predecessor. Rather, the manufacturer has focused on detail improvements. For example, the Galaxy S21 has:

However, the innovations in the Galaxy S21 Ultra are more profound. The premium version of the cell phone has an additional telephoto camera and is also the first cell phone from Samsung’s S series that can be operated with the S Pen.

In addition to all the small and large innovations that the Galaxy S21 series brings with it, there are also some changes that some interested buyers will probably notice negatively.

The manufacturer consistently dispenses with an SD card slot and a headphone jack. The standard version of the cell phone is only available with a plastic back. If you want a cell phone that is made of Gorilla Glass on both the front and back, you have to go for the S21 Plus or S21 Ultra.
