Galaxy S24: sales up significantly compared to the Galaxy S23

By riding the wave of artificial intelligence with the Galaxy S24, Samsung seems to have convinced consumers. A report from the South Korean agency Yonhap citing data from Counterpoint Research highlights the very good sales of this new generation of high-end smartphones.

Rising numbers around the world

We first learn that the Galaxy S24s were more successful than the Galaxy S23s at their launch, with global sales up 8%. In South Korea, Samsung’s homeland, sales increased by 22% compared to the previous generation.

The success is even more impressive in Western Europe: +28%. The report mentions in particular “strong pre-orders in Britain, Germany and France”. In the United States, whose market is dominated by Apple and its iPhones, Samsung is also doing better than with the launch of the Galaxy S23 by recording sales growth of 14%.

Unsurprisingly, the model that most appealed to consumers is the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It represents 52% of sales, compared to 27% for the Galaxy S24 and 21% for the Galaxy S24+. “These numbers are slightly lower than the S23 series, where the Ultra model accounted for 60% of sales worldwide”, reports Android Headlines.

AI, the standard bearer of the Galaxy S24

Although Samsung has brought some new features in terms of the technical sheet with the Galaxy S24, the manufacturer’s main attraction in the year 2024 is software.

In addition to a 7-year follow-up guarantee on its new high-end smartphones, the South Korean firm offers an armada of artificial intelligence features, dissected by us in this article.

An interesting asset to make everyday life easier, but which will not remain exclusive for long. Indeed, several previously released models will be entitled to it in the coming months… including the Galaxy S23.
