Galaxy S24: Who’s Getting the Exynos?

SAMSUNG GALAXY S24

Samsung could also use its own Exynos processor in some regions for the Galaxy S24. Europe was also affected in the past. So it could be this time.

  • Samsung could again rely on an Exynos processor in some regions.
  • Smaller markets in particular could be affected.
  • Lucky for technology enthusiasts: Europe may not be affected this time.

With all the popularity of the Galaxy S23 models with the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Samsung Galaxy” chipset, one could almost forget that the South Korean manufacturer also has its own processor series with the Exynos platform. And Samsung could bring that back into play with the Galaxy S24 for Europe, among other things.

The Galaxy S22 did not come onto the market with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but with the Exynos 2200. This made the flagship model at the time not exactly lame, but devices in the same price range sometimes did better in the benchmark. Of course, we can expect Samsung to have continuously worked on its processor, but some fans swear by a Snapdragon processor in their Galaxy phone.

Pocket-lint points out the lack of popularity of Samsung’s own processor technology among tech enthusiasts with the new information about the processor that may be used. According to CCS Insight’s chief analyst and CMO, Ben Wood, there is some hope for Europe this time around.

Samsung may refrain from launching Exynos in the important European market. In return, the Galaxy S24 could be delivered with its own SoC in smaller markets. Samsung would probably also keep Qualcomm busy. However, that is not certain.
