Korea’s Minister of Science, Technology and Communications has hinted that Samsung will soon launch a satellite-enabled smartphone, likely the Galaxy S24. Samsung is also extending the deployment of the new version of its One UI 6.0 mobile overlay. Finally, a musician used AI to make John Lennon sing, or rather a sound reconstruction of his voice. The Galaxy S24 could connect to satellites to communicate
During an interview, the Korean Minister of Science, Technology and Communications announced that a local company will launch a smartphone capable of offering satellite connectivity next year. There’s no doubt he’s talking about Samsung here, and probably its upcoming Galaxy S24, due out early next year. However, the latter would not be the first to benefit from it, since before him, it is the Pixel 8 which should benefit from this feature.

One UI 6.0 is coming to new countries
One UI 6.0, the new version of Samsung’s home overlay, has just been deployed in beta in four new countries. France is still not eligible, but given the rapid deployment, it is expected that this new update will be available to us before the end of August, before a deployment of the stable version during of autumn. As a reminder, One UI 6.0 is based on Google’s Android 14.

AI revives John Lennon, lead singer of the Beatles
A musician called Kid Klava has pulled off a technological feat that could well hurt the industry, since he used AI to make John Lennon sing, or rather a sound reconstruction of the Beatles singer’s voice. The new song, titled “Everybody But You”, has since been shared many times on social networks, and in particular on TikTok.
