It has now become a ritual: every month, the subscriber services of the consoles are updated to accommodate new games and there are sometimes very nice surprises. The proof with this role-playing game which should delight fans of the genre!

The latest J-RPG in fashion?

Driven by an epic storyline, Tales of Arise is the gem not to be missed in Xbox Game Pass if you like the J-RPG genre. Part of the Tales of franchise, this episode signed by the Bandai Namco teams marks the seventeenth adventure in the series! After a somewhat complicated development, the game finally found its direction to arrive shortly before fall 2021. Hailed by players and critics, Tales of Arise is a formidable epic with majestic landscapes.

Designed by a team of veterans with a proven track record in the field, this title combines action and role-playing for a result that charms the retina and immerses us in an exciting universe. A-RPG type (that is to say action-RPG), Tales of Arise begins with the invasion of the planet Dahna by soldiers from the planet Rena. She succeeds in accomplishing her goal of enslaving the population and takes control of Dahna. The scenario then jumps back in time 300 years and reveals that the Dahniens are now working in despicable conditions under the orders of the Reniens. The player then discovers two characters, Alphen and Shionne, who will try to change the destiny of two completely opposed worlds.

A great J-RPG!

The main strength of Tales of Arise is that it does not fall into a Manichean scenario. There is no good versus evil, it’s much more subtle than that. We become attached to our amnesiac hero who can count on a new shoulder to change his destiny and the game multiplies the plot twists and twists to challenge us. The gameplay is as dynamic as ever thanks to its Arts system (special attacks that can be combined) and the graphics offer a glimpse of sumptuous panoramas, all at 60 frames per second. Tales of Arise is undoubtedly one of the best parts of the saga and it is a godsend to be able to find it for this new selection of Xbox Game Pass games. It is in fact from Tuesday February 20, namely tomorrow, that players will be able to join the Dahlian resistance. It’s a real pleasure to be able to discover such a J-RPG in the catalog of Xbox Game Pass subscribers, especially since its arrival was not a certainty.
