A genius composer announces her return

And yes, you read correctly ! There is new information on Kingdom Hearts IV in nature, and they bode well. It seems that the rest of the license is in good hands, since Yoko Shimomurathe composer who has worked on most of the games since Kingdom Hearts first of the name, confirmed in an interview with IGN that she was currently working on the soundtrack for the fourth installment of the main series.

Yoko Shimomura does not give details as to the nature of her work, but nevertheless specifies that she is actively working on several pieces, which is a rather good sign for fans of his writing. The fact that she took the liberty of confirming her participation says a lot about the progress of the game, because if we base ourselves on the previous part, Tetsuya Nomura waited until 2018 to announce that Takeharu Ishimoto And Tsuyoshi Sekito were working on the OST of Kingdom Hearts III with Yoko Shimomura.
