Nothing new, but a summary

Nintendo released a new trailer for Pokémon Legends: Arceus yesterday. The six-minute video, a substantial length for a trailer, opens with notes reminiscent of the prelude set in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Entitled the presentation trailer, it merely takes stock of what we can expect from Pokémon Legends: Arceus when it is released on Nintendo Switch on January 28. She therefore goes back to the framework of the game, which is the Hisui region, the various searches and the tasks that the player will have to do to fill in his Pokémon encyclopedia (or Pokédex), the way in which the trainer must capture and face certain Pokémon and finally the various services that he can grant himself in Rusti-Cité which is the city of departure.

While the six-minute trailer is dense and serves as a great reminder for players whose enthusiasm hasn’t driven them to check out every new piece of information about Pokémon Legends Arceus, this video does not bring anything new and only consolidates the achievements of recent months.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus – Mini Feature Reminder

But it remains an opportunity for them (and therefore for us) to recall the main features of this Pokémon Legends: Arceus. If it takes a foothold in the Pokémon universe, it differs from its predecessors in many aspects. First of all, for its scenario context: LPA takes root in the Hisui region, in a setting well before the adventures of the main games of the license (Red, Gold, Ruby etc). Humans don’t coexist with Pokémon yet, and know almost nothing about them. As a trainer who has just arrived in Rusti-Cité, the main town of the game, the player joins the corps of researchers from the Galaxie group. He must then do various research on the different Pokémon that inhabit the region, by capturing them but also by studying them via various “Pokémon tasks”.

As his research progresses, the player will be able to explore new regions, capture new Pokémon. A mysterious event comes to disturb his research. It concerns the legendary Pokémon Arceus, known today as the founding Pokémon of the universe. How does it relate to research? It will be available to discover on January 28, with the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
