It’s not just the Xbox games Pentiment and Grounded that will land on Nintendo Switch soon. This is also the case with this understated and completely crazy medieval video game. We wonder how the Nintendo Switch will hold up!

Kingdom Come Deliverance, the medieval game you need?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released more than 6 years ago and yet you may have missed it. When in doubt, a quick summary is therefore necessary. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a realistic first-person medieval game from Czech studio Warhorse Studios. You play Henry, a blacksmith’s son who will seek to climb the ranks in the kingdom of Bohemia (current Czech Republic) at the beginning of the 15th century. But be careful, it is not an easy task to change your status in the Middle Ages. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is therefore a demanding game that will not forgive you for the slightest mistake. The title has in fact chosen realism above all else, even if sometimes this can give rise to quests and laborious moments. Suffice to say that the game is not made for everyone.

What’s more, if we gave it a score of 14 out of 20 at the time, it was in particular because of the technical delay and the numerous bugs in the title. But since then, the developers have been working hard to improve the state of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Although some bugs persist today, player reviews on Steam are generally very positive. Needless to say, now might be the time to get started. An uncompromising role-playing game in a medieval world that borders on historical simulation, does that tempt you? If so, that’s good because it will soon be arriving on a new console!

The Middle Ages on Nintendo Switch

And yes, Kingdom Come: Deliverance will finally land on Nintendo Switch. Players have been waiting for this moment for a while. Already in 2021, they hoped to see the Royal edition of the title arrive on Nintendo’s hybrid console. Indeed, the title had been listed in the upcoming releases calendar on Nintendo’s official Japanese website. Alas, it was a mistake. But today, it is indeed real.

This was officially announced during the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase: Kingdom Come: Deliverance will arrive on Nintendo Switch on March 15. Obviously, given the technical liabilities of the game, this raises questions about the state of this Switch version. For the moment, it is difficult to draw any real conclusions from the trailer that has been revealed. We’ll have to wait until next month to find out what it really is. Note that the version available on Nintendo Switch will be the Royal Edition mentioned above. The latter includes all the DLC released for the game.
