In 2019, we were treated to Greedfall, an action-RPG developed by Spiders which was rather well received: five years later, the firm returns with Greedfall II The Dying World, for which a brand new trailer has just been revealed .
The Spider-Men are back
France can boast of some fine video game studios: we can cite Asobo (A Plague Tale, Microsoft Flight Simulator), Dontnod (Life is Strange, Banishers), Quantic Dream (Detroit: Become Human) or, obviously, a certain Ubisoft that we no longer present. In this generous pile There is also Spiders, a Paris-based firm founded in 2008, belonging to Bigben Interactive.
In 2019, the studio released Greedfallan action-RPG inspired by the conquest of the world by the West in the 17th century, but transposed into a fictional world full of fantasy: we played a colonist who, after landing on the mysterious island of Teer Fradae, must find a remedy to cure his people while demonstrating diplomacy with the natives there.
With an average of 72% on Metacritic, we can say that GreedFall was well received: in fact, it’s even a great success since we now have more than two million sales, a very honest score for an AA project and enough to largely motivate Spiders with the idea of a sequel. Which was made official moreover, and which is therefore called GreedFall II: The Dying World.

Steelrising (2022)
After offering the cool Steelrising at the end of 2022, a Souls-like set during a French Revolution where King Louis XVI unleashes killer automatons to reprimand his people, Spiders returns with its biggest brand for a second opus: GreedFall 2 will take place three years before the story of the first part and this time, we will slip into the shoes not of a settler, but of a native of Teer Fradee. The new trailer, freshly released during Nacon Connect, also clearly illustrates the new content of the game.
Torn from his people, the player will then land on Gacane, the continent of your criminals eaten away by war and malichor, a formidable illness which forced the hero of the first game to find an antidote. The protagonist will have to regain his freedom here and to do this, he can use diplomacy, cunning or combat.
Exploration will be an important component of this new journey: “from Olima the star city of the Alliance to the bridge to the shores of Uxantis”we will travel from landscape to landscape to meet the different factions, recruit new members for our team, complete dozens of quests with even better-oiled RPG cogs – at least that’s what we’re promised – allowing you to achieve your goals in many possible ways. An attractive program, all in all.
