The Summer Game Fest 2023 is in full swing and Immortals of Aveum took the opportunity to present themselves once again. The least we can say is that it has some under the hood. Harry Potter better watch out.
Immortals of Aveum, the “magical” FPS from industry veteran Bret Robbins who worked for many years on a certain Call of Duty. After opening his studio, Ascendant, which aims to specialize in the development of independent AAA games, Robbins and his team sign a partnership with the EA Originals label, which aims precisely to serve as a springboard for independent studios. A promising game that we had the chance to approach not long ago. Immortals of Aveum therefore took advantage of the Summer Game Fest 2023 to show off once again, and it sends.

It is therefore a new big session of gameplay that was presented during the biggest evening of the summer in terms of video games. Immortals of Aveum wowed us with its unbridled action and its colorful effects in all directions. As we had also noted during our grip, the game wants to be rather nervous and offers excellent sensations. It draws shamelessly from the greatest FPS of the genre and opts for a general public staging very inspired by Marvel blockbusters. This is also one of the main inspirations of the game as repeated several times by its creator.
As a reminder, Immortal of Aveum will send us into the fictional world of Aveum. We will embody Jak, a young adult who, in spite of himself, becomes the receptacle of the three elementary magics. Able to control all kinds of skills, he then becomes a “war mage” and finds himself forced to participate in a conflict that is beyond him. A classic frame at first glance, but we are told full of twists and interesting characters. We will see. On the other hand, Immortals of Aveum should hold us in suspense approximately 25 hours and would propose secondary contents and a little exploration. An ambitious title.
