There is still no list of participating companies for Gamescom 2024, and yet it is already clear that a particularly important publisher will not be taking part in the major video game trade fair this time.
As Eurogamer reports, Nintendo UK has already confirmed that Nintendo will not be one of the exhibitors like last year. However, players would have the opportunity to test games for Nintendo Switch at other events throughout the year.
With Nintendo, one of the three big publishers for Gamescom 2024 will be eliminated. This makes it quite certain that you won’t see a Switch 2 during the trade fair. It is still unclear whether Xbox and Sony will be part of the upcoming trade fair.
However, it is very likely that you won’t have to do without Nintendo completely at Gamescom. Smaller developers whose indie titles are also or even only released for Nintendo Switch often take part in the trade fair.
