GB: MPs approve plan to return asylum seekers to Rwanda


LONDON, December 12 (Reuters) – British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s controversial emergency bill to allow asylum seekers to be sent back to Rwanda won a first victory in Parliament on Tuesday evening.

MPs in the House of Commons approved the text by 313 votes to 269, despite differences within Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party. (Reporting Alistair Smout; French version Jean Terzian)
