GE: to supply 26 wind turbines and 156 MW in the Netherlands

(CercleFinance.com) – GE Renewable Energy announced today that it has been selected by Windkoepel Groen as part of a repowering operation for the Windplan Groen project in the Netherlands.

Here, ‘repowering’ will consist of replacing old wind turbines with new ones and installing more efficient components, which will ‘significantly increase the production of the wind farm while extending its lifespan’, assures GE

Concretely, GE will supply 26 Cypress 6.0-164 onshore wind turbines in three wind farms (Ansjovisstroom, Hanze and XY Wind), for a total installed capacity of 156 MW.

All three parks are expected to be completed in 2023. The agreement also includes a 25-year full service contract, GE said.
