In addition to the traditional games of the week added to the service, GeForce Now
is entitled this week to additional functions related to upscaling and a launch of the app in stable version on LG-TV
.

NVIDIA announces the deployment of GeForce Now update 2.0.37, available to all users and bringing some new features.

Three upscaling modes

The GeForce Now application now offers new options for resolution scaling (upscaling) in the settings. These can be adjusted in the same place where you could already set the target framerate and other graphics options.

In addition to the upscaling mode Standard, activated by default and which has little impact on performance, the user has the choice between two other modes:

  • Improved : Displays better picture quality than the Standard but may cause latency depending on the system used.
  • AI Enhanced : Provides a more natural look to the image thanks to a trained neural network model (machine learning) and sharpening, a technique of improving the sharpness of textures, especially edges. This mode is only available on Shield TV and PCs with certain NVIDIA graphics cards.

  • Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition (Steam and Epic Games Store)

GeForce Now has been available on recent LG televisions for a few weeks and be aware that the webOS application has been released from beta to a stable version. The app can simply be downloaded from the LG Content Store.
