After singer Paul Stanley, KISS bassist Gene Simmons has now also tested positive for Corona. The band has to cancel further concerts.

A few days after KISS frontman Paul Stanley (69) tested positive for the coronvirus, the band’s bassist, Gene Simmons (72), has now also received a positive response. The hard rock band announced this on Instagram, among other things. “While Paul Stanley recently tweeted that he has recovered from Covid, Gene Simmons has now tested positive and suffers from mild symptoms. The band and the team will stay at home and isolate themselves for the next 10 days,” the statement said .

Band has to cancel further concerts

The band is also addressing the consequences for the fans in the post: Accordingly, the next four concerts will have to be postponed. However, the band expects to be able to perform again from September 9th. KISS are currently touring the USA as part of their “End Of The Road” tour.

At the end of last week, the US band had on Instagram announced that singer Paul Stanley had tested positive for the coronavirus. As a result, the concert, which should have taken place on August 26th in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, was postponed.

KISS are fully vaccinated

KISS take Corona seriously, strict rules apply. Among other things, the band wrote on Twitter: “All participants of the entire tour, both the band and the crew, are fully vaccinated.” There is also a full-time Covid security officer who ensures that all guidelines are adhered to.
