Brad Pitt is said to have allowed a 105-year-old to live with him completely rent-free. This is now revealed by a former neighbor of the star.

Brad Pitt’s (59) former neighbor has shared a heartwarming story about the Hollywood star. After Pitt bought a sprawling estate in Los Angeles for $1.7 million in 1994, the Oscar winner is said to have successively expanded his property in the years that followed by buying neighboring properties that came on the market. According to Pitt’s neighbor at the time, Elvira (71), one of these properties was home to an elderly man who had just become a widower. The star was particularly generous to him, as the actress now revealed in “People”..

Freedom of rent for life

Horror legend Elvira, also known by her real name Cassandra Peterson, sold her home to Pitt in 1991, and subsequently became the star’s neighbor herself. In an interview with “People”, the 71-year-old now explained that the Hollywood star had behaved “very, very kindly” towards the widowed elderly man. “I know Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died,” Elvira said.

“John was 105 years old”

The neighbor named John then “just lived on forever,” reports the previous owner of the house. “I imagine Brad was like, ‘Well, he can live there until he dies, which could be any time now’.” But according to Elvira, the generous arrangement lasted for quite a while. “It was pretty funny because John lived to be 105,” the actress said.

Last month, however, Pitt sold the property where he and ex-wife Angelina Jolie, 47, raised their children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne. The couple separated in 2016.
