MiHoyo is about to kick off the 3rd chapter of Genshin Impact, through patch 3.0. This is deployed this Wednesday, August 24 worldwide. Two new banners will arrive on this date, showcasing some of Sumeru’s brand new characters: Tighnari and Collei. But 3.0 will also be the arrival of Sumeru, a whole new green region to explore, populated by monsters and plagued by a strange evil.
What time does 3.0 come out?
The maintenance necessary for the deployment of patch 3.0 begins Tuesday evening at midnight. According to miHoyo, the maintenance period should last five hours. Therefore, we will be able to dive into the version 3.0 of Genshin on Wednesday, August 24 at 5 a.m..
During the maintenance period, Genshin Impact will be completely unavailable.

Genshin Impact’s 3.0 update is a hell of a chunk, and it’s going to take some time to download. Fortunately, miHoyo has made it possible to pre-download patch data, which will save you valuable time on D-Day.
