Things could well change with the next major patch, the outlines of which will be presented this February 4 in the afternoon, on twitch and YouTube. MiHoyo has indeed started the teasing of a next character of choice which will soon arrive on its flagship title. It is Kamisato Ayato, Ayaka’s brother and leader of the Cultural Commission’s Kamisato Clan.
Note however that even if it should logically be released over patch 2.5, it is not an absolute certainty.
The details of his skill kit are still unknown at the time of this writing. We just know that it will be a character Hydro.
A discreet character, but who acts a lot behind the scenes
We have some elements of lore concerning Ayato. He inherited the reins of the family at a very young age, and shows impressive charisma, even if he often prefers to remain discreet, helping the poorest from behind the scenes. His nickname is also “Pillar of Valor”; a title that reflects his generous character.
On his splasharthe can be seen wielding a sword, but Nobumori explains that Ayato is also an excellent polearm fighter.
