George Clooney was shocked to learn he was going to be a dad to twins. For him, this information was a disaster at first.
Open words from George Clooney (61): The Oscar winner was “horrified” when he and his wife Amal Clooney (44) found out at the age of 56 that they would become the father of twins. The US actor told his colleague on the “Drew Barrymore Show”. “That wasn’t part of the plan,” Clooney revealed. His wife was in the twelfth week of pregnancy and both had an appointment with the gynecologist. Then the doctor said, “It’s a boy. […] And a girl.” George Clooney’s reaction: “What?”
“It was a disaster. I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?'” says Clooney. His twins are now “the greatest thing in the world”, but at the time he was “horrified”. When asked by Barrymore if he felt scared, the ‘Up in the Air’ star replied: “Well I was 56 years old and that just sounded awful to me.”
George Clooney married his Amal in September 2014
For a long time, George Clooney was considered the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood. In April 2014 he became engaged to British-Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin. In September of the same year, the two married in Venice, Italy. In June 2017, twins Alexander and Ella Clooney (both 5) were born.
