Victor Orban has just won the general elections in Hungary for the fourth time. Admittedly, the media there are controlled by the state and have hardly covered the opposition campaign; Admittedly, the electoral law is iniquitous, but the fact remains that the large majority – 56% – which voted for the candidates of the Prime Minister’s party proves that the latter continues to enjoy the confidence of Hungarians .
Orban was immediately congratulated by the Italian Salvini. He has become the hero of all those who advocate a conservative and nationalist populist policy. He has, in fact, demonstrated that a policy which is, in form, aggressive, authoritarian and Manichaean, and in substance, hostile to the European Union abroad and to minorities, immigrants or LGBT, to l. ..
