The award ceremony for the German Acting Prize has taken place again. “Babylon Berlin” star Liv Lisa Fries was happy.

Last Friday evening (September 15th) the German Acting Prize was once again awarded in the Berlin club restaurant Spindler & Klatt. This year, Liv Lisa Fries (32) won in the “Dramatic Leading Role” category. for her leading role in the series “Babylon Berlin” and Gerhard Liebmann (53) for his part in the film “Eismayer”.

Meanwhile, Marie-Lou Sellem (57) received an award for her dramatic supporting role in “Bones and Names”. Ulrike Kriener (68) received the German Acting Award in the “Comedic Role” category for her part in “Just Something Beautiful” and Maresa Sedlmeir (28) in the “The Voice” category, which she lends to US actress Bella Thorne, among others (25) her voice.

Jella Haase and Dimitrij Schaad win as the “Kleo” duo

Jella Haase (30) and Dimitrij Schaad (37) were honored as best “duo” for their roles in “Kleo”. Franziska Wulf (39) received a trophy in the “Strong Performance” category for her role in “Sonne and Concrete”. The film based on the order by Felix Lobrecht (34) also received the ensemble prize.

Ursula Werner (79) also received a prize for the best episodic role for her role in “Doktor Ballouz – Empty Pages”. Devrim Lingnau (24) was named best young actress for her performance in “The Empress”.

Three honorary prizes awarded

This year’s honorary award for life’s work went to actress Thekla Carola Wied (79), other honorary awards went to actress Gesine Cukrowski (54) and presenter Silke Burmester, whose campaign “Let’s Change The Picture” promotes a contemporary image of women in film as they age and use television.

Since 2012, the German Acting Prize has been awarded annually by the Federal Acting Association in Berlin. The association includes around 4,000 actors.
