Sem Eisinger wins in the “DSDS” final. The 29-year-old from Frankfurt prevailed against Monika Gajek, Lorent Berisha and Kiyan Yousefbeik.
Sem Eisinger (29) is the winner of the anniversary season and thus the superstar 2023. In the final of the casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” (April 15, RTL also via RTL+) he prevailed against the competition: The spectators voted Monika Gajek (21) from Salzgitter in second place. Third place went to the Swiss Lorent Berisha (19). Fourth was Kiyan Yousefbeik (21) from Hanover.
Like the transmitter announced on Sunday morning, the audience voted unequivocally: “54.8 percent saw the Frankfurter as the clear winner in the big anniversary final.” The reward for the effort in the limelight for Frankfurt’s Sem Eisinger: prize money of 100,000 euros, a contract with Universal Music and the opportunity to go on tour with chief juror and top music producer Dieter Bohlen (69).
Emotional roller coaster ride
The newly crowned “DSDS” winner also dedicated the victory to his father. He is already seriously ill when his son is in Thailand to film the casting show. A little later he dies. The 29-year-old learned this sad news just a few hours before his appearance in the first live show in Cologne on April 1st.
In the week before the live show, Sem Eisinger had visited his father. “I was in Mallorca before I came here and I was checking on my father who has been in the hospital since the last time” Sem said to the broadcaster. A little later he received the call that his father had “passed peacefully asleep”.
He actually wanted to fly back to the Balearic Island, but then he remembered his father’s clear words: “My father always said I shouldn’t, I shouldn’t, I shouldn’t. It was his biggest dream, his biggest I wish I could do this,” Sem said through tears.
