Mback all the way! This is the order that the German government has just given as part of its all-out efforts to avoid electricity rationing and a revolt in the streets this winter. By deciding to extend the life of two of the three nuclear power plants still in operation in the country until April, Germany is reversing the radical decision taken after the shock of the Fukushima accident in 2011: to close all its nuclear power plants by December 31, 2022. At the time, 80% of terrified public opinion demanded an immediate exit from nuclear power. Angela Merkel gave in to the pressure.
