Getlink: is it working?


(Boursier.com) — Getlink rose 1.2% to 15.70 euros this Thursday, while the group reported a slight decline in activity in February. LeShuttle Freight transported 98,873 trucks, stable compared to February 2023. Since January 1, nearly 199,000 trucks have crossed the Channel aboard Shuttles, a slight decrease of 3% year-on-year.
LeShuttle, for its part, transported 114,641 passenger vehicles in February, down 9%. With just over 235,000 passenger vehicles transported since January 1, LeShuttle Shuttle traffic is down 6% compared to the same period last year…

Among the latest broker opinions, SG retains Getlink with an adjusted target of 16.50 to 17.10 euros. The group announced a turnover of 1.829 billion euros (+14%), with an EBITDA of 979 million euros (+11%), after provision of an amount of 156 million euros linked to future sharing of ElecLink profits. Free Cash Flow came to 638 million euros. Cash flow as of 12/31/2023 is 1.562 billion euros (+366 million euros). Consolidated net income stands at 326 million euros (+30%).

On the side ofEurotunnel, the turnover came to 1.121 billion euros (+8%), the EBITDA was 582 million euros (-1%). For ElecLink, turnover stood at 558 million euros (vs. 420 million euros in 2022, operations having started on May 25, 2022). EBITDA is 368 million euros, after provision of 1564 million euros linked to future profit sharing. For Europorte, finally, turnover stood at 150 million euros (+9%) and EBITDA at 29 million euros (stable).

Perspectives displayed

In 2024, in a context of very strong competitive intensity in cross-Channel transport, Getlink will continue its strategy of operational excellence and strengthening its agility in order to optimize the attractiveness of its services and its value creation.
The EBITDA Target is between 780 and 830 million euros.

The group also announced the payment of a dividend of 55 euro cents per share, subject to approval by the General Meeting of May 7, an increase of 10% compared to the amount paid in 2023 and in in line with the Group’s desire to share the creation of value with its shareholders. The payment of this dividend would take place on June 5, 2024. Among other brokers’ opinions, JP Morgan still overweights Getlink with an adjusted target of 19 euros…
