GGST Patch 1.13 Released, Baiken’s Za Warudo Bug Fix Announced

Patchnote 1.13 only concerned minor bugfixes, as well as the release of Baiken, as well as other announced features. In terms of character balancing, the only change concerns Potemkin, whose combo scaling has been modified when Giganter Kay hits the opponent (only concerns the projectile, not the shield). Fixed a minor bug on Faust’s banana, where his hitbox would sometimes stay active even though the banana disappeared from the screen.

The most important changes finally concerned Happy Chaos, with bug fixes on his two shooting stances. For At the Ready it was a bug, where under certain circumstances the character could not shoot even after pressing HS. Two bugs should also have been fixed on Steady Aim (second shooting stance), the first being that he could sometimes still shoot without getting back into position, when he had just taken damage. The second was that he couldn’t use special moves under specific circumstances. Finally, the visual effects of his shots have been changed in the patch.

On the other hand, problems appear with Baiken. If his opponent uses a projectile or disjointed blow followed by a PRC or BRC, then tries to tap and Baiken uses his Hiiragi, then the opponent finds himself frozen and unattackable until the end of the round. This bug was noticed on Goldlewis, Baiken (in mirror), Faust, Ground, Zato and Ky. The FGC came up with a name for him inspired by JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Dio’s (then Jotaro’s) Stand signature attack: Za Warudo!! Arc System announced that a hotfix would be released soon, without however specifying the exact date.

However, Baiken is not the only problem. Zato players noticed that Break the Law can no longer bait the Bursts, while the main Ky had the unpleasant surprise to discover that Sacred Edge no longer caused a hard knockdown (heavy knockdown, allowing the attacker to keep the initiative because the opponent’s recovery time on the releve will be longer) during a wall break. These modifications were not announced in the patchnote, the track of the bug is thus privileged.

Finally the patchnote ended with a last press release on the online mode. at the level of certain connection errors or even untimely disconnections while the player is still well connected to the Internet. Although they announce that they have not yet identified a recurring pattern to find out what is causing these problems, they continue to work to resolve these problems and apologize for the inconvenience caused.

New announcement

Update of 02/02/2022:

Arc System Works confirms having noticed the bugs around Baiken (Za Warudo), Ky (Sacred Edge), Zato-1 (Breaking the Law), Jack-O (no longer throwing a minion in the air with a high diagonal input ) and Happy Chaos (the properties of Steady Aim and Ready to Fire have changed). These bugs should be fixed in the next patch, even if the date of this one is not yet announced. Bugs concerning the waiting time to connect to the server, and untimely disconnections (rare bug) in the middle of a match are still under investigation.

Update of 04/02/2020:

Exceptional maintenance has been announced for February 4 to fix the bugs mentioned above.
