the CES 2022 of Las Vegas, devoted to the latest news from the high-tech world, opened its doors today and Sony was once again present to discuss several areas in which the company is present, including video games. We were thus treated to some news on the sales figures of certain games from PlayStation Studios, including Ghost of Tsushima.
A new license that hits the mark
Sony announces that it has sold over 8 million copies of Ghost of Tsushima worldwide since its launch in 2020. This figure therefore includes sales of the basic version and sales of the Director’s Cut, available for a few months.
By November 2020, the game had sold 5 million copies. With a few promotions here and there, the game could very well end its life around 10 million in sales, and even without that Sony can be very happy with such a result for a brand new license. There is no doubt that the future of the latter is assured, whether in video games or in the cinema.
