Ghost of Tsushima seems to have received its final patch, Sucker Punch ready for the sequel?

Ghost of Tsushima will have been one of the games from PlayStation Studios that will have been the most highlighted since its release in the summer of 2020. Last year, the title was even entitled to its version Director’s Cut, adding a whole new adventure while celebrating its release on PS5. But after all this work done on the game, Sucker Punch seems to be determined to move on, as we learn in the game’s 2.18 update patch note.

End clap for game support, or almost

In the patch note in question Sucker Punch seems to confirm that this is the last update that was scheduled for Ghost of Tsushima :

Although we are not actively working on a future fixwe’ll continue to monitor your comments on the community-run subreddit Gotlegends, as well as messages sent to @SuckerPunchProd on Twitter for any priority bugs or issues. We would like to extend a big THANK YOU to the entire community for their unwavering support and precious help since the launch of the game. When Legends was released in October 2020, we didn’t expect its community to still be so active after more than a year and a half. We are infinitely grateful to all those who accompanied us on this journey! »

If the studio therefore promises that it will watch over the game in the event of major problems detected, in particular on the multiplayer, it is obviously ready to leave this first opus aside. To better focus on what’s next?

This is probably likely as the game has met with great success. Especially since the license is now famous enough to be entitled to a film adaptation in Hollywood. We therefore imagine that the bulk of the team is already at work on a potential Ghost of Tsushima 2hoping to have confirmation soon.
