“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” starts in Germany in March 2024. In the latest fantasy comedy, the brave ghost hunters go back to New York, where they meet old friends.
The “Ghostbusters” films are one of the absolute cult series from the 80s. In addition to the original parts with stars like Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver (“Alien” series), a new edition was also added in 2016.
With “Ghostbusters: Legacy,” the original timeline of the series was revisited after over 30 years. In “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” the story will continue in March 2024 to coincide with the 40th anniversary with new actors such as Paul Rudd and Finn Wolfhard as well as some old acquaintances.

In “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” the Spengler family returns from Oklahoma to the well-known fire station in New York. There they meet the original ghost hunters, who have set up a top secret research laboratory. Together they try to fight against the evil forces that have been released by an ancient artifact and are wreaking havoc.
The evil forces flying around frighten people so much that they suddenly freeze into ice. In order to save New York from an eternal ice age, the new Ghostbusters combine their forces with the helpful experience of the “old hands”. The daughter of ghost hunter Egon Spengler can even use her father’s spotlight to use it against the ghosts.

Many actors from the Haken film also appear in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”. These include Paul Rudd (“Only Murders in the Building”), Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”), Carrie Coon (“The White Lotus”), Mckenna Grace (“Young Sheldon”), Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim. New additions include Kumail Nanjiani (“The Big Sick”) and Patton Oswalt (“The King of Queens”). Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts also appear from the original cast.

“Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” makes viewers particularly nostalgic! In the latest comedy, not only does the action continue in New York, but also the well-known ghost hunters like Bill Murray as Dr. Peter Venkman and Dan Aykroyd as Dr. Raymond “Ray” Stantz makes an appearance. Anyone who already liked the previous “Ghostbusters” film with stars like Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon will definitely have a lot of fun with this supernatural adventure!
