The year 2022 has just begun and is still full of releases for the PlayStation. As part of the latest State of Play, Sony is presenting what you can look forward to in the coming weeks and months. We summarize the highlights for you.
PlayStation: A colorful mix for PS4 and PS5
According to PlayStation, another “State of Play” stream will take place shortly and in fact there was no new information about games like Final Fantasy 16 recently. Nonetheless numerous games were introduced and maybe there is one or the other for you.

While it’s not a new Dino Crisis, Capcom is taking another trip to the dinosaurs.
A dinosaur outbreak is in full swing and it’s up to you to stop it. Slip into your exosuits and take control of hordes of carnivorous animals in action-packed co-op battles.

Ghostwire Tokyo
This action-adventure game is packed with horror, fast wheels and twists and turns. Face the unknown and support Akito in his quest for the truth.
Ghostwire Tokyo is supposed to on March 25, 2022 for PS5 to appear.
Forspoken
The release of Forspoken was recently postponed, but at least new gameplay for the game was presented as part of the State of Play.
You take on the role of Frey, who has to face fearsome creatures in the cruel land of Athia. Only through her magic can she succeed in defeating evil.
Probably from October 11, 2022 can you support them.
Returnal
Returnal gets a co-op mode with Ascension. From now on you can share the journey through the labyrinth of Atropos with another player.
The free update also adds the Tower of Sisyphus to the game. You have to master twenty floors and survive against monsters that don’t want you to get to the next one. However, this tower is not available in co-op mode.
The update should on March 22, 2022 to appear.
Valkyrie Elysium
The world is on the brink of destruction, but a brave Valkyrie wants to stop it.
A mix of strategy, action and unique combos awaits you in the upcoming RPG Valkyrie Elysium.
The game should 2022 for PS4 and PS5 to appear.
PlayStation: What else can you expect?
- Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin is an upcoming action RPG that Square Enix is releasing to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the series. From March 18, 2022 you can plunge into this adventure.
- at Gundam Evolution is an upcoming free-to-play game. In this 6v6 you will choose from a variety of Mobile Suits from the Gundam multiverse, each with their own special abilities. With the better strategy you will win over the opposing team. The game is slated for release in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
- cowabunga! the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back and in one collection. The included games are based on the characters and themes of the 80’s comics and animated series. The Cowabunga Collection is scheduled for release in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
- In GigaBash you have to face the dragon king Rawa. Filled with monsters and heroes, this four-player arena brawler is made up of fully destructible maps. GigaBash is slated for release in early 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
- JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R based on the iconic manga series. This is a fighting game featuring 50 characters from around the universe, each from a different story arc. The game is slated for release in early fall 2022.
- Trek to Yomi sends you to ancient Japan. You take on the role of the lonely samurai Hiroki, who swore to his dying master to protect his city and the people he loves. You should be able to support him as early as spring 2022.
- at The Dio Field Chronicle is a new tactical RPG with a deep story, in which a RTTB (Real-Time Tactical Battle) system awaits you. The game is slated for release in 2022 for PS4 and PS5.
