It’s party time: summer vacation is approaching. But like at the end of each school year, you wonder how to thank your kid’s teacher or teacher. After all, he’s the one who takes care of your offspring five days a week and teaches them things you wouldn’t have the strength to teach (let’s be honest, we all forgot our multiplication tables). .

What is more, in this period of pandemic, the teachers have done everything to ensure pedagogical follow-up in the best conditions – and with the means at hand. One more reason to say “thank you” to them.

The gourmet gift: a frame filled with chocolate candies

  • A frame filled with chocolate candies accompanied by a funny little note: “ In an emergency, break the ice“. Provide yourself with a frame, candies, a little milk, a pair of scissors and a brush. Download and cut out the label with the little word. FYI, the milk is used as “glue”: apply some to the back of the label using the brush, then stick it on the glass. And of course, avoid “breaking” the glass to collect the candies; open the frame rear !

The original gift: the “Fortune cookies”

Not very complicated to make but above all super original, we suggest you offer it surprise cookies way “Fortune cookies” in which you will slip little sweet words inside. Before starting to prepare the cookies, you can print (just here) and cut out the little words. If your child can write a little already, he can himself write his own sentences.

For a twenty cookies surprises, you will need:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 60 g flour
  • 60 g icing sugar
  • 45 g melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

The preparation :

Make melt the butter in the microwave or in a bain-marie. Beat them egg whites with a fork until a fluffy texture is achieved. Add the icing sugar and the sifted flour in the egg whites while continuing to stir, then the melted butter. Mix to get a smooth texture. Also add a little vanilla extract to give the cookies a little flavor. Cover a baking sheet with sheet of baking paper, and drop a dough spoon on plate. Spread it out to form a circle. Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook for 7-8 minutes at 200 ° C.
In addition to this, you need to know more about it.
While waiting for the cookies to bake, you can cut small labels. When you get out of the oven, you have to go very quickly, because the cookies cool quickly and harden. Gently peel off a cookie using a spatula, place a little word on top, fold the cookie in half and then in half again in the other direction to give it the form. Be careful, it’s a bit hot! You can help yourself with a glass edge to mark the fold. Hold for a few seconds and let cool in a fairly narrow container such as a coffee cup.
