At least four APUs to come

Gigabyte invites us to “ prepare ” for the ” new generation of AM5 APU by AMD » with BIOS updates for the brand’s motherboards. An announcement obviously echoing the details that we communicated to you last week.
Indeed, the recent AGESA updates for the 600 series chipsets left little room for doubt: AMD has the idea of launching new processors and, in this case, APUs.
A launch “ by the end of January 2024 »
Gigabyte, however, does not go into technical details and does not give details on the names of the chips that should arrive. On the other hand, the Taiwanese company is very clear about their launch window.
In English in the text, it is thus specified: “ the upcoming AM5 next gen APU will be launched at the end of January 2024 “. In other words, this is a launch timed for the end of January next year. And everything suggests that we are indeed talking about the chips mentioned above. Chips that were once known as “Ryzen 7000G”, but which seem to have been renamed “Ryzen 8000G” by AMD.
Remember that the latest rumors report at least four chips ranging from the Ryzen 3 8300G (1 Zen 4 core/3 Zen 4c cores and 4 RDNA 3 computing units) to the Ryzen 7 8700G (8c Zen 4 and 12 UC) in passing by the Ryzen 5 8500G (2c Zen 4/4c Zen 4c and 4 CPUs) and Ryzen 5 8600G (6c Zen 4 and an unknown number of CPUs).
