The circle is complete for Intel and its manufacturing partners of motherboards… Finally, at least the main sellers on French soil.

ASRock, then ASUS, MSI and now Gigabyte, the first motherboard vendors in France have now answered Intel’s call regarding the compatibility of their products with the Raptor Lake generation.

Raptor Lake on 600 series chipset

Several months ago, Intel confirmed that motherboards based on 600 series chipsets (Z690, H670, B660 and H610) will be able to recognize the upcoming Raptor Lake processors.

Gigabyte is sort of the latest of these giants to give an update on this compatibility. Like his colleagues, the Taiwanese specifies that it is imperative to update the BIOS of his motherboard to take advantage of the future 13e generation of Intel processors.

Note that Gigabyte mentions its entire catalog: BIOS updates therefore concern both Z690 chipset-based motherboards and the more modest B660 and H610.
