If we are to believe Dave Bautista, who shared the poster with the former interpreter of 007 on Glass Onion and Spectre, going from James Bond to Benoit Blanc apparently changed Daniel Craig in depth.
You’ll soon find out: Dave Bautista is one of the suspects in Glass Onion: Knives Out, the sequel to Knives Out. This will be the second time the actor has come face to face with Daniel Craig, the pair having previously faced off in the James Bond film Spectre.
During the film’s promotional tour, Dave Bautista did not fail to share his feelings about this new experience. He claims that Daniel Craig is a different person on the set of Rian Johnson’s film.
When Daniel Craig finished filming Spectre, he said he’d rather cut his wrists than play James Bond again. and that Craig was in a hurry to get rid of Agent 007.
Dave Bautista told EW that it was obvious to him that Daniel Craig wasn’t really having fun on the set of the movie. Even from the outside, he could see the pressure of the franchise on him…
He was really put to the test on Bond. We felt that he was under pressure. He didn’t seem like the happiest person, but on the set of Glass Onion, it was quite the opposite.
Shooting Glass Onion would therefore have been a much better experience for Daniel Craig who would have had a lot more fun. If the actor still plays the main role of a film which is now officially a franchise (with a third part already planned), these are not the same issues as on a James Bond. Nor the same atmosphere!
Dave Bautista explains that the team had a different way of working on Glass Onion, as opposed to Spectre. And what is this method? Simply to spend time together, including Daniel Craig. He pursues…
“He was so fun, always smiling and happy. And he interacted a lot more. In Spectre, there wasn’t much interaction with the entire cast. But in Glass Onion, it was quite the opposite. We were always together. So I got to know him better as a person and see him do his job.“

It should nevertheless be specified that if the actors are always together, it is partly because of the very structure of the film. The James Bonds follow the hero from place to place, sometimes leaving certain characters behind and meeting new ones.
The concept of whodunit demands that all suspects stay in a defined space, while Benoit Blanc tries to figure out what happened.
If the authors of Glass Onion had fun doing it, the film is just as pleasant to watch. You only have a few days to wait to find out!
