Xiaomi has just announced its new smartphones
in China, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro
. Nevertheless, a listing appeared at an Indonesian retailer gives hope for an international version closer than one would have imagined.
Spotted on the Indonesia Telecom website, the Xiaomi 12 (model number 2201123G) and Xiaomi 12 Pro (model 2201122G) have thus been certified in the country and could therefore be launched very soon.
Launch faster than expected for Xiaomi 12
Last year, we had to wait until February 8 to discover the European version of the Xiaomi Mi 11 after their launch in China at the end of December. For his successor, it appears that the schedule will be similar.
To believe MySmartPrice, the new smartphone and its “Pro” alternative are already certified and therefore ready to be marketed in Indonesia – one of the many countries to be served during the “global” marketing of Xiaomi smartphones.
Of course, the exact date remains unknown. But a window in early February does not seem too optimistic according to this information. Moreover, it will be necessary to see to what extent these new smartphones are exact replicas of the models launched in China. Indeed Xiaomi does not hesitate to review the nomenclature of its devices according to their international launches.
Reminder of the forces present
While waiting to learn more, let’s briefly return to the specificities of the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Top of the range, the two devices come in two distinct forms. The first is equipped with a 6.28-inch Full HD + AMOLED screen while the other offers a diagonal of 6.73 inches in QHD +. Both, however, manage a frequency of 120 Hz, and have a central punch housing a 32 megapixel camera.
Both equipped with a latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, they can be configured up to 12 GB of RAM for 256 GB of internal storage. The Xiaomi 12 has a 4,500 mAh battery rechargeable at 67 W wired and 50 W wireless. The 12 Pro climbs to 4,600 mAh and can be recharged at 120 W with a suitable charger (we stay at 50 W wirelessly).
Finally, in photography, the first smartphone has a trio made up of a 50 megapixel wide-angle (1 / 1.56 “), a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle (1 / 3.06”) and a 5-megapixel telemacro . The Xiaomi 12 Pro opts for a trio of 50 megapixel sensors, which notably includes a better quality wide-angle (1 / 1.28 “) and a 2x telephoto lens.
Taking into account the exchange rate, the two smartphones are offered for import between 510 and 650 euros. On the other hand, we must expect a much higher addition for international models. Last year, the Xiaomi Mi 11 was launched from 649 euros.
