The American soul diva and disco singer Gloria Gaynor (70) has a viral hit with a short video on TikTok. In it she sings against the currently rampant corona virus with her world-famous song "I Will Survive". The short clip in which Gaynor washes her hands, was also spread via Twitter. The artist wrote: "It only takes 20 seconds to survive."
Under the hashtag #IWillSurviveChallenge, some of her fans have already done the same and are therefore calling on the population to pay even more attention to proper hand hygiene in times of the corona crisis. Gaynor became a world star during the big disco wave in the 1970s and early 1980s. In addition to "I Will Survive", especially her song was "I Am What I Am" a classic.
