God of War Ragnarok: Sony does not know yet if it will arrive on PC

One of Sony’s best, if not the best, exclusives has recently been released on PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Although we have no official feedback, the game’s statistics on Steam show that the community has been particularly receptive, peaking at 73,000 simultaneous players, placing it among the most popular on the platform.

In fact, and quite naturally, many people are wondering if the sequel, which will arrive in 2022, will also be ported. But as of now, no decision has been made, as game director Cory Barlog announced in an interview with Game Informer. He specifies that he has ” no idea » if the porting will be done, since Sony takes the games one after the other. Each of these productions must meet certain criteria to be ported to PC.

We will therefore have to wait for the release of God of War Ragnarok, and to see if the success is there and if the experience could be suitable for a PC version. The decision, which will ultimately be made by Sony, will not happen anytime soon.

Note that in the same interview, Cory Barlog specifies that it was the studios that “pressured” to see these exclusives arrive on PC. Moreover, a third major port will take place shortly, with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. Regarding God of War, the PC version can be purchased at a lower cost thanks to our partner Instant Gaming offering it to you for the sum of €35.19 instead of €49.99, i.e. a 30% reduction.
