God of War: Ragnarök: towards a release in the fall of 2022?

It was in September 2020 (already). At the very end of the PS5 conference, a little teasing had announced God of War: Ragnarök, the last of the saga to be based on Norse mythology to tell the story of Kratos and Atreus. The most optimistic estimates pointed to a release at the end of 2021 but it is clear that the studio has fallen behind, in particular because of Christopher Judge’s health problems, the actor who plays Kratos The Santa Monica studio has indeed preferred to give him time, without putting him under any pressure.

After the actor’s recovery, development has therefore resumed and the title will be released next year. If no specific date has yet been officially communicated, a leak in the Playstation database seems to point to an autumn release.

A reunion on September 30?

The information comes from Playstation Game Size’s Twitter, which allegedly found this date of September 30 by rummaging in the database of PlayStation. This data should still be taken with reservations since it could be a placeholder. Note that this is a Friday, the usual release day for a video game.

Note that since the publication of this information on Twitter, the game has also received its classification in Saudi Arabia. Classified over 18 years old, the game should therefore be in the same vein as the previous one, gory and bloody at will, which should amply satisfy fans of the license.

In view of all this information, whether proven or not, which reaches us in such a short period of time, we can therefore easily assume that the development of the game is almost finished and that it will soon be time for us to live. the ultimate adventures of Kratos.
