Going astray – Navi guided Uzbek truck driver to nowhere

On Monday evening, a truck driver from Uzbekistan got stuck with his semi-trailer in a narrow village street in Satteins (Vorarlberg). Because rescue was initially impossible, he and a companion had to spend the night there.

The 26-year-old Uzbek, who actually wanted to go to Holland, had fallen victim to his navigation system. This took him off the A14 near Nenzing and led him directly into Satteinser Gulmstrasse. As the path became increasingly narrow, the man was finally forced to return. However, when reversing, his multi-ton refrigerated truck literally dug into the shoulder and got stuck. Truck successfully recovered Since it was no longer possible to be rescued by the towing service due to the onset of darkness, the Uzbek and his companion had to spend the night in the truck. The next day the truck was finally recovered with steel cables – and the journey towards Holland could continue.
