The path of Light or Corruption is the dilemma of Gold Project
Gold Projectit’s a 2D pixel-art metroidvania (with art direction provided by Camille Unknown) where we play Kali, a warrior in search of revenge against a god, who will receive help from the god of Light in her quest that will bring her to the City of Gold. She can then accept new powers or not, taking care not to let herself be corrupted. The game will then be based on this duality, with choices to be made between Light and Corruption throughout the adventure.
By choosing the path of Light, we can then purify the enemies and have very useful ranged attacks, while the path of Corruption will open new paths through brute force, making your enemies tremble with fear. Each path will then lead to different ways of understanding situations, but also to different ends.
Like any good self-respecting metroidvania, the progression promises not to be linear and will require us to unlock several abilities to unlock new places to visit. The game will then alternate between demanding platforming phases and fast-paced combat..
