Golden Globes 2024: From “Killers of the Flower Moon” to “The Holdovers” – you can see the winning films in the stream here

ENTERTAINMENT

The Golden Globes 2024 already gave us a foretaste of the upcoming Oscars. You can watch the winning films streamed here.

The Golden Globes – or rather the journalists who host the Golden Globes – don’t have the best reputation in Hollywood. In 2022, the awards ceremony was not even broadcast on TV, but now everything is back to normal, even if some stars apparently only survived the long evening by drinking free alcoholic drinks at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Just like with the nominations, there were no big surprises with the 2024 winners. Here you will find a list of the most important winners, but the question that is particularly interesting is: Where can you watch the winning films? We’ll tell you!

Best Drama, Best Director, Best Music, Best Actor – Drama & Best Supporting Actor: “Oppenheimer”

“Oppenheimer”, the big winner of the Golden Globes evening, is quite easy to watch on stream. Amazon, iTunes/Apple TV and many other VOD providers let you rent or buy the film digitally. However, “Oppenheimer” is not yet available on a streaming service like Netflix or WOW.

Best Comedy & Best Actress – Comedy: “Poor Things”

“Poor Things” won’t be released in cinemas in Germany until January 18, 2024, so unfortunately the film isn’t available to stream yet. With a US theatrical release in December 2023, “Poor Things” could be available to stream at the end of February 2024, but an official date has not yet been set.

Best Actor – Comedy & Best Supporting Actress: “The Holdovers”

“The Holdovers” doesn’t open in Germany until January 25, 2024 – an unfortunate release for a film set at Christmas time. In the USA, however, the time had already come at the end of October 2023. It’s no surprise that you can already stream the film on Peacock or rent it on US iTunes.

Best Actress – Drama: “Killers of the Flower Moon”

“Killers of the Flower Moon” has been available to stream since December 2023, but so far only as a rental and purchase title. However, that will change on January 12, 2024, when Martin Scorsese’s latest masterpiece lands on Apple TV+.

Best Song: “Barbie”

Things didn’t go well for “Barbie” at the Golden Globes, but of course the film still has a chance at the Oscars. “Barbie” has been available to rent and buy on Amazon and Co. for several months, and you can also watch the comedy stream on HBO Max. A release on Sky and WOW is also expected to follow in the near future.

In Japan, “The Boy and the Heron” was released in July 2023, in Germany it wasn’t until January 2024 – apart from the first previews in December. However, “The Boy and the Heron” is not yet available to stream anywhere; Ghibli films have their own rules. One day the film will surely end up on Netflix, and before that we can probably expect a rental and purchase release.

Best Foreign Language Film & Best Screenplay: “Anatomy of a Case”
