Good deal – Focal Aria 936 Walnut “5 stars” speakers at €799.00 (-50%)

The Hi-Fi speaker is the heart of Focal’s business. Thanks to a loan from a generous reader, we were able to get our hands on the Aria 936, a 3-way floorstanding speaker from the latest renewal of the range to date. Without further ado, let’s find out what it has to offer.

A successful bet for Focal and its Aria 936. The speaker offers manufacturing quality and a listening experience that truly meets what we expect from a model of this type. Apart from a slight lack of punch in the bass, we cannot objectively criticize anything else; the rest just depends on your listening preferences. Special mention for the spatialization and the feeling of proximity, both remarkable.

Strong points

• Superb reproduction of stereophonic space.
• Striking feeling of proximity, especially on the voice.
• Precise and very well defined sound reproduction.
• Construction and finishes to perfection.

Weak points

• Small lack of impact in the bass.
• A V-shaped profile in the treble which will not be to everyone’s taste.
