Good deal – The “5-star” Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra 5G touchscreen tablet at €1,184.95 (-20%)

If it does not drastically change the situation compared to the Tab S8 Ultra of 2022, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra demonstrates Samsung’s know-how in the tablet market. But is it good enough to claim to completely replace the PC experience?

Still as imposing, the Galaxy S9 Ultra does not revolutionize what was established by the first Ultra model. The addition of the IP68 standard is welcome, even if its presence remains questionable, but overall it remains the only real novelty. And maybe that’s for the best, since we really had no complaints with the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra — battery life aside. There remains this problem of accessories that are almost essential if you want to enjoy the full experience. But this is unfortunately a problem inherent in all tablets that have their eye on the PC side.

Strong points

  • Elegant and thin tablet despite its imposing dimensions.
  • Brilliant screen.
  • Excellent performance.
  • Satisfactory photo section.
  • IP68 standard.
  • S-Pen included.

Weak points

  • Limited autonomy.
  • Incomplete experience without a keyboard (sold separately).

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

With its P12 Pro, Lenovo delivers a (large) very well finished, high-performance tablet with one of the best OLED screens on the market. The stylus with which it is compatible expands its potential, especially as it is pleasant to use. In short, the Chinese brand manages to bring together everything that one is entitled to expect from an Android touchscreen tablet and poses as a serious alternative to Samsung and its Galaxy Tab S.
