Good deal – The Asus ZenBook 13 Oled Laptop (UX325EA) 16 GB / 512 GB “4 stars” at 999.99 € (-14%)

After testing the AMD version of the ZenBook 13 Oled, we are evaluating the version with the 11th generation Intel processor, which gains two Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of USB-C.

The Asus Zenbook 13 Oled UX325EA is a very good ultraportable. It embeds an OLED panel which displays a perfect contrast, but also an imprecise colorimetry. We will especially remember its autonomy of almost 11 hours and the good performance of its Intel processor, and this is what is most important for an ultraportable.

Strong points

  • Autonomy.
  • Contrast on the Oled panel.
  • Charging flexibility.
  • Windows Hello webcam.
  • Thunderbolt 4.

Weak points

  • Soldered memory.
  • No jack plug.
  • Screen calibration.
  • Shiny slab.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

By taking over the MagicBook Pro on its own, Huawei has corrected its main defect (the keyboard) and retained its main strong point (its screen). However, we would have liked a slightly newer processor, such as an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Zen 3 architecture. To make a perfect copy, Huawei would have been well advised to offer better speakers and a larger capacity battery – l Autonomy is on the other hand correct. We will finally settle for a free M.2 slot instead.
