Fujifilm had promised an exceptional camera that would honor the top-notch performance of the much smaller X-T3 and X-T30, and that is indeed the case. The incredible definition of 102 Mpx goes like a letter in the mail thanks to the technological concentrate integrated into the GFX 100. It is difficult to fault it. Its little brother, the GFX 50R is getting old before its time. In addition to offering a disruptive device on the closed medium format market, Fujifilm is innovating by taking a new ergonomic turn, without forgetting its roots. If we can note some shortcomings, its real fault lies in the finishes that could be improved and in its handling which lacks comfort. Small shortcomings that are ultimately easy to forgive given the incredible recipe of the GFX 100.

Once again Fujifilm strikes a blow. The GFX 100S takes all the advances of the GFX 100 and removes a good part of its disadvantages, including its size. There remains a device with a more classic size, but which has a very large stabilized medium format sensor in addition to all the advantages of the hybrid system. Except for the storage which would have merited compatibility with cards faster than SD UHS-II, or the absence of 4K at 60 fps, the GFX 100S is a very accomplished device. It offers exceptional image quality, excellent handling and a complete video mode. Those looking for very high definition without compromising on autofocus or ergonomics will find in it a strong ally.
