Good deal – The KEF Q350 Black “4 stars” speakers at €204.00 (-21%)

The KEF Q350 Black speakers go below 250 € at Cobra, a drop of around 21% on the price usually observed. It is currently one of the best products in our comparison.

A few months ago, in the summer of 2017, KEF renewed its most affordable and popular line of Hi-Fi speakers, the Q series. Among the two models of bookshelf speakers in the range, the Q350 that we are testing here are the bulkiest. Placed just above the Q150s, they are supposed to be at ease both in stereo configuration and in a home cinema installation.

Kef’s Q350 are loudspeakers full of surprises. They certainly show some unexpected characteristics for Hi-Fi loudspeakers – in particular very directional highs which make them difficult to use in a room with little or no acoustic control – but they also offer certain breathtaking qualities in view of their price. If you’re lucky enough to have a very dull listening room (and a subwoofer), they’re even a hell of a deal.

Strong points

  • Extraordinary precision of midrange and treble.
  • Lots of dynamics and detail.
  • Great power handling.
  • Its flattering and massive, quite enjoyable.
  • Very efficient clean design.

Weak points

  • Great treble directivity, imprecise stereophony.
  • Lack of control in the sub-bass (below 80 Hz).
  • Speaker covers sold separately.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

The S810 subwoofer is like the rest of the Jamo Studio 8 range: spectacular in no way, it nevertheless provides very solid performance, all the more appreciable as it comes at a very low price. affordable. Capable of a very clean reproduction if not explosive, well extended if not exceptionally deep, it offers modest purses rational and balanced performance, with which there is little to reproach.
