Good deal – The Logitech G502 Hero “4 stars” mouse at 34.99 € (-24%)

Introduced in August 2018, the Logitech G502 Hero mouse is none other than a refreshed G502 Proteus Spectrum with a new Hero 16K optical sensor. A mouse that therefore retains its strengths and weaknesses by modernizing very slightly.

Without changing the design, the G502 Hero allows Logitech to continue to offer its flagship mouse in a fairly accessible wired version. Although it unfortunately does not benefit from the thinning operated on the G502 Lightspeed with the transition to wireless technology, it remains this excellent mouse gaming versatile that offers a comfortable grip, many buttons and high-level performance. This is even more the case with the Hero 16K sensor which distinguishes this G502 Hero from previous versions.

Strong points

  • Excellent optical sensor.
  • Versatile.
  • Very comfortable grip.
  • Disengageable and horizontal scroll wheel.
  • Possibility to adjust the weight.

Weak points

  • Same as the previous model, only the sensor changes.
  • Still a little heavy therefore, unlike the G502 Lightspeed wireless version.
  • Risk of instability of the wheel in free scrolling mode on some copies.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

Always as pleasant to use, the IntelliMouse has done well to return in this Classic version. We would have appreciated an even faster sensor for video games, but this is reserved for the Pro version, which unfortunately has not yet crossed the Atlantic. Nevertheless, for office automation, the BlueTrack sensor proves to be quite convincing, and that is ultimately the main thing.
